How do you think you could live in our present society if you always told the truth?

Sounds easy? Don't kid yourself! Just try it for one day, with friends, relaatives, workmates or anyone you know. Isn't "civilised behaviour" based on a tissue of lies?

"Does my bum look bigger in this skirt?"

"Sure does honey...don't you have another?"

"How d'you do? Are you staying long?"

"Not if you're around, you miserable git!"

See what I mean...We lie every day, because if we did not, life would be intolerable. Social lies are the lubricant of a civilised existence, so when anyone says, "Never lie", recognise it as a load of bollocks.
